These are 2 of our 3 boats that we use in for our Picton - based tours.  Both are extremely comfortable 13 metre catamarans that cruise at 20 knots (40 km/hr).

Delphinus and Dolphin Endeavour are both in Safe Ship Management (SSM) and are operated by fully qualified and licensed skippers and crew.  All vessels are available for private or group charter in the Marlborough Sounds with activities ranging from diving to sightseeing - just drop us a line and see what we can do for you.

Delphinus

Delphinus is our pride and joy and is an awesome platform to view dolphins from.

Delphinus is a very stable 13 metre (43 foot) catamaran that cruises at 20 knots and is surveyed for 30 passengers. An extremely comfortable enclosed cabin, open back deck for easy access in and out of the water, seating to catch the sunshine and sea breezes, walk-around sides and fully railed bow make this boat ideal for both viewing the scenery and wildlife in the Sounds as well as swimming with dolphins.  Delphinus is equipped with the necessary safety equipment and has a marine toilet for passengers’ use.  This is our main boat used for our daily tours.

 Dolphin Endeavour

Dolphin Endeavour is a 9 metre boat made right here in the Marlborough Sounds.  We generally only use this boat small numbers or when needed during the busy season.

Dolphin Endeavour is a 9 metre (30 foot) planing launch that cruises at 20-23 knots and is surveyed for 16 passengers.  There is seating inside the main cabin and on the back deck to catch the abundant sunshine and breeze through your hair. The view from both inside and out are fantastic.  Dolphin Endeavour is equipped with the necessary safety equipment and has a marine toilet for passenger use. Dolphin Endeavour is currently only used as a 'backup' boat when needed and all trips mainly go on Delphinus (see above).

A new larger catamaran is joining our fleet by the start of our 2010-2011 season......stay tuned!
